Traditional Teabowls
The Japanese term "Chawan" literally means tea bowl. From Chinese influence dating back to the 13th century the tea bowl has a long history in traditional tea ceremonies. Although they were initially used to drink green tea (or "matcha") from, they can serve many uses in our modern lives.
Chawans can be sold with Tomobako, or traditional wooden display boxes held shut with ribbon ($30. The ones I offer are made from cherry by a local craftsman.
